Minimum 4 Days

Day 1 - Fortaleza - Jericoacoara:
The magnificent coastal route takes you along the beach, across rivers and mangroves, atop of sand dunes, and trails through native cashew and coconut plantations, making our way into the sunset at Jericoacoara National Park. Jericocoara was rated by Washington Post as one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world. Highlights: Beach Villages of Cumbuco, Lagoinha and Flexeiras, Barge Crossing at Mundaú, Wind and Kite-surfing at Icaraizinho, Oysters fresh out of the river at Moitas. Estimated travel time: 7-10 hours of enjoyment and fascination.

Day 2 - Jericoacoara National Park Discovery Day:
Hiking, swimming, riding through sand dunes! 3 - 5 hrs.

Option 1: 4 x 4 through the dunes to Blue Paradise Lagoon

Option 2: Beach driving to Tatajuba, a village covered by dunes in the 80s. Cross the Guriú River (Hire a boat and explore the mangrove in search of seahorses). Stop for refreshments and try some seasonal shrimp and lobster.

Option 3: Pedra Furada - Easy to moderate hiking along the north shore beaches with a stop at natural saltwater pools. Observe caves, interesting cliff and rock formations and enjoy the views of the windsurfers from the cliffs. At the end of your day, climb or ride on horseback to the top of the dune to enjoy the exotic sunset over the ocean.

Day 3 - Jericoacoara-Ubajara:
A last morning ride through the dunes will take us to the incredible blue waters of Lagoa Azul and Lagoa Paraíso. An enjoyable swim in the fresh water lakes and lunch at a lakeside restaurant, end our days in the sand dunes. We begin our drive up to the different terrain in the mountains of Ubajara National Park, where we will overnight.

Day 4 - Ubajara-Fortaleza:
After breakfast, an easy to moderate hike on park trails will provide us with spectacular mountain views, and a dip in a waterfall. Ride a gondola to the entrance of some unique caves where you can experience some guided, amateur spalunking. After lunch we return to Fortaleza.
