Minimum 4 Days

Day 1 - Fortaleza - Canoa Quebrada:

Leaving Fortaleza looking into the sunrise, we cruise along the beach until Caponga where we take a ferry barge across the Mal Cozinhado River and continue on to Morro Branco, where multihued sand cliffs border the beach. These cliffs are where the artisans gather the colored sand to create the popular sand art bottles. Passing by several villages we come to Rio Jaguaribe, which is the last river crossing before reaching the charming and mystical town of Canoa Quebrada. A view of the sunset from atop of the dunes that surround the village ends our first day. Nightlife on "BroadWay" in Canoa offers a variety of restaurants and entertainment.

Day 2 - Canoa Quebrada - Ponta do Mel (or Mossoró):
In the morning light, with a beautiful view of Canoa behind us, we continue along the beach where the boardering cliffs become taller and taller. Fresh water springs, caves and sands of different hues are numerous until we reach the spectacular point of Ponta Grossa, which is made up of high cliffs, rocks and reefs. We make our way along the white sand beaches until Redondas and Icapuí, where we cross into the neighboring state of Rio Grande do Norte. Here you choose whether to overnight at the Mossoró Hot Springs Hotel (inland) or take a short ferry crossing to Areia Branca and Ponta do Mel.

Day 3 - Ponta do Mel - Mossoró - São Miguel do Gostoso:
Back on our coastal trek we pass through the Macau Region, which is the one of the largest salt extraction areas in Brazil. A lighthouse marks the town of Caiçara and then we reach Praia do Marco, where we find a replica of the monument of the Stone Mark, left by the Portuguese explorers claiming ownership of the land in 1501. The quaint and beautiful village of São Miguel do Gostoso awaits us at the end of the day.

Day 4 - São Miguel - Natal:
One of the highest elevated lighthouses in the world is at Ponta do Calcanhar (62m). After passing through Touros, Perobas, and various other beach villages, we arrive in Maracajaú. Here you can hire a boat to take you to the rich coral reefs to snorkel, or just swim in the crystalline waters. On to Cabo São Roque, Brazil's closest geographical point to Africa. Then passing by Maxaranguape, Muriú, and Jacumã, we continue to fill our eyes with the beauty of coconut lined white sands meeting the ocean waters. When we reach Genipabu, there is the possibility of a camel ride on the dunes and beach! A few more kilometers and we arrive in Natal.

Option: Carry an another 90Km to Pipa, where it's possible to see dolphins from the
beach at Dolphin's Cove. Get an even better view from the cliff top where the dense
