Day 1 Fortaleza  Icaraizinho:
Leave Fortaleza traveling along the beach, passing by various villages such as Cumbuco, Taiba and on to the picturesque Lagoinha, Guajirú, and Flexeiras, where the clear water tidal pools enhance the white sand beaches of this area. A barge crossing on the beautiful Mundaú River mouth, continuing on to Baleia and
the tranquil bay of Icaraizinho in time for the sunset, where we overnight.

Day 2 Icaraizinho-Jericoacoara:
Leave Icaraizinho to the river crossing of Aracatiaçu, where you can taste the fresh oysters harvested by the native people. On the other side of the river we follow trails through the mangroves and coconut plantations, carrying on to Torrões, where we cross another small river. Stop in Almofala to learn a bit of history about the town that was once buried by sand dunes in the early 1900s.
Almofala is also home to a marine turtle research center and museum. We continue on until we reach the famous Jericoacoara National Park.

Day 3 Discovery Day in Jericoacoara:
Explore Jericoacoara and its surrounding lakes Lagoa Azul and Lagoa Paraíso. Walk to Pedra Furada and climb the dune to enjoy the exotic sunset over the ocean. Jeri offers an array of restaurants and nightspots to enjoy music and dancing.

Day 4 Jericoacoara - Parnaíba:
Leave for the Parnaíba River Delta, one of the largest deltas in the world, passing by Guriú, Tatajuba, and Camocim with 2 barge crossings en route. After lunch, explore the delta by taking a boat ride on the Parnaíba River. Overnight in Parnaíba.

Day 5 Parnaiba - Barreirinhas:
In the morning we will depart for Lençois, passing through Tutóia and Paulino Neves, where we suggest a stop for lunch at Dona Mazé's to sample her delicious Mariscada (seafood dish). The rest of the day is filled with adventure traveling through trails, sand dunes, and rivers, until we arrive in Barreirinhas, the main town of Lençõis Maranhenses National Park.

Day 6 Discovery Day in Barreirinhas:
Photo opportunities abound as we explore the Lençoís region. We suggest a boat excursion down the beautiful Preguiça River to Atins, Caburé, with a stop for lunch in Mandacarú. Rides through the sand dunes and lakes inside the national park are also available.

Day 7 Barreirinhas - São Luis:
On this final day we leave Barreirinhas to end our excursion upon arrival in the historical city of São Luis, the capital of the state of Maranhão.
