Day 1 - Fortaleza-Canoa Quebrada:
Leaving Fortaleza looking into the sunrise, we cruise along the beach until Caponga
where we take a ferry barge across the Mal Cozinhado River and continue on to Morro
Branco, where multi-hued sand cliffs border the beach. These cliffs are where the
artisans gather the colored sand to create the popular sand art bottles. Passing by
several villages we come to Rio Jaguaribe, which is the last river crossing before
reaching the charming and mystical town of Canoa Quebrada. A view of the sunset
from atop of the dunes that surround the village ends our first day. Nightlife on"Broadway" in Canoa offers a variety of restaurants and entertainment.
Day 2 - Canoa Quebrada - Icapuí:
In the morning light, with a beautiful view of Canoa behind us, we continue along the
beach where the bordering cliffs become taller and taller. Fresh water springs, caves,
and sands of different hues are numerous until we reach the spectacular, historical
point of Ponta Grossa, which is made up of high cliffs, rocks and reefs. We make our
way along the white sand beaches until Redondas, Peroba, and Icapuí, where we will
have lunch and make our turn around to return to Fortaleza.
Please note: We can suggest a complete package that will include accommodations, transfers and side tours, to meet the specific needs of our clients.
*All beach excursions are planned taking in consideration ocean tides.
